The Brick House features a private front garden and outdoor dining area, a fire pit, and a beautifully landscaped berm with unique plantings. An inviting grassy space perfect for bocce ball, badminton, or simply relaxing in the summer sun with a good book.
Enjoy two levels of airy living space with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Highlights include picture windows showcasing garden views, a skylight-filled roof, heavy timber framing, heated floors, and a floating, curved staircase. The dramatic entrance door, relief-carved by Tofino artist Michelle Foley, a student of master carver Henry Nola, sets the tone. A hot tub awaits in the private backyard garden, which also features a tiled terrace with outdoor seating, a BBQ, and an outdoor shower.
The main floor offers a custom, well-stocked kitchen filled with natural light, featuring fir cabinets, a quartz countertop, gas stove, and a wine bar—perfect for the passionate chef! The airy living room provides cozy seating around an old-brick fireplace, topped with a custom surfboard designed by Tofino artist Claire Watson. Adjacent is a comfortable dining area with views of the garden and hot tub. A spacious bedroom with two double beds makes a great option for both adults and children. Completing the main floor is a full bathroom with a shower and a laundry room with a washer and dryer.
The second level boasts a beautiful, light-filled sitting lounge with rustic wide-plank floors, a fireplace, and a curated collection of art books. The primary bedroom features a king-size bed, while the second bedroom offers a queen-size bed. A ‘glam-inspired’ bathroom includes a glass-block window, a mauve jetted tub, double sinks, a separate shower, and heated tile floors. You’ll also find a west-facing balcony with seating for two—perfect for enjoying a late afternoon glass of wine. Throughout the Tofino Brick House, discover a thoughtfully curated collection of contemporary art by Vancouver Island artists like Irma Soltonovich, Arden Rose, Claire Watson, and Graeme Masterton, as well as select vintage ceramics and unique objets d’art tucked into charming nooks.
